24 weeks

Often called the lower end of viability, 24 weeks is kind of a kick in the pants. Like, we're going to have a baby. A real freaking baby. We're going to be someone's moms!



1. I think I'm going to wear a ridiculously tight shirt that looked really saucy on me last year EVERY day.
2. I've got some weird standing angle going on here - I guess I couldn't decide if I wanted front or side. I need to work on that.
3. In four months, we'll have an actual KID. Like, a kid that moves... on the outside!

It's crazy all of a sudden. I look down and I see roundness! WEIRD.

24 weeks, I can't even believe it. 10 weeks spotting/bleeding free. I never thought that would happen.

So fast... but only after like 14 weeks or so. The first trimester is SO long!!

Yep. A kid that moves, and pees and poops and cries and eats and wakes you up at all hours because they need you to help them do one of these things or deal with the complications of them doing these things and...

And in 13 years, you'll have a teenager!

You're looking great by the way. Have you gotten a t-shirt that says, at bely level "This stomach is not community property."? One of my friends was VERY annoyed with folks walking up and fondling her belly just because she happened to be pregnant.

13 years seems like an awfully long time from now. If we can just get through the first, it will be okay. :)

As for the community stomach, I've been blessed with polite people. The only people who have wanted to touch have asked, and I say no and they only pout a little bit.

AHHHH We are 24 weeks.... yikes!!!! have you been feeling the moving and kicking.... i havent gotten tired of it yet... and feeling double is cool... for now at least! How are you doing energy wise??

Oh yeah, I've got quite a dancer in there, especially when I have a full bladder because it pushes her up more. I like to just watch my belly move around on its own. I'm sure at some point it will be freakish but for now I like it!

I have tons of energy, which is nice. I was WIPED in most of the first tri and now I feel much more like my normal self. I'm happy with that! I just wish I could do a lot of the stuff I'd like, like bike riding, etc.

Since I worked with a lot of preemies, I'll really feel MORE secure when I hit 30 weeks... but I'll take what I can get, for sure. I can't believe my kid weighs over a pound!

I just have to trust in God that everything is going to be alright. xo
