Wow, it is Restaurant Week and I didn't even know! How did I miss this? I am so slow.

HOWEVER, I did manage to score a reservation for Saturday night for me, Jen, and Jodie who is visiting from Maine. After scouring all of the menus looking for foods I can eat, of course. (Lots of Asian/Sushi/Seafood stuff up in here.) And foods that the other folks like, too.

Because I am the awesomest wife ever, I made reservations at Caminito Argentinean Steakhouse even though I don't eat beef and don't like the smell of beef cooking all that much. But Jen loves steak and Jodie likes steak and really, how often does Jen get to go to a steakhouse? Pretty much never. Besides, their Restaurant Week menu has a sweet potato ravioli entree that sounds ridiculously delicious. Mmmm, I am hungry already!

Jodie is coming tomorrow and we are going to have so much funnnnnn.

That sounds great! Nobody makes steak like those Argentineans.

Eh. My grandparents were huge steak eaters. (We're portuguese folks.) We had steak at least 2-3 times a week, with beef at least 4 times a week. When I turned 17, I was like, "Wow. NO MORE BEEF." Haven't gone back since, except for this weird pregnancy thing with the BK cheeseburgers. Which, now that I said something, I want.

Have you had the ravioli from Viva in Northampton? I can't remember which root veggie it was (pumpkin, squash, or sweet potato) with a maple walnut cream sauce? So freakin' good.

I just bought Feta and Hazeltnut Butternut Squash Ravioli from Whole Foods. They're Rising Moon Organics, and they have them in the freezer section. VERY tasty.

I've only been there twice... once with Rebecca when we snuck into town to visit before my anticipated offer to interview at Smith. We ducked in and had a salad and an appetizer before going to the Iron Horse to see The Nields perform. The second time it's actually where I was taken by Smith when I was there for my interview. I've been craving the ravioli ever since. I may just have to come back to have it, although it doesn't seem to be on the menu right now. Maybe it's seasonal?

It is probably seasonal. Fall food. But I am totally going to be all over it in the fall. You can count on it!!

Oh good, I'm glad it's tasty even if you're not a beef-eater. That makes me feel good!

You sure put some food away at the Brewery last weekend, missy!!!

Well, the place didn't SMELL like a nasty steakhouse, which is nice. And we ate outside on the patio, so no smelling involved. Which is good, because steak smells NASTY! Yuck!

My food was awesome, though. I had these little slices of fried zucchini for an appetizer, and then the sweet potato ravioli, and then a yummy rice pudding with fruit. MMM.

Don't know if you remember me, but I keep seeing you in [livejournal.com profile] stacy's journal and just wanted to say hi and OMG congratulations to you two on doing so well out there and OMFG BABY! : D Baby will undoubtedly be terminally cute!

Of course I remember you, Lisa, you big silly! Do you still play with Cara? How are you?

I hope the baby is cute. If the baby is ugly, I don't know what I will do. xo

I actually lost contact with Cara...I kinda ended up hiding in a shell of sorts for a while and have only recently peeked out, but I am doing a lot better than I used to be.

I hear if babies are ugly you can send them back...if not, I'll take it >_> (I am terribly shifty today.)
