Oooh, it's [livejournal.com profile] siercia's birthday! Hope it's great!

Yesterday we got a kick-ass package from [livejournal.com profile] hopemcg and [livejournal.com profile] meglett. They sent us the digital pregnancy test that they didn't need to use (lucky stiffs!) and a surprise of a WHOLE BUNCH of sticks for my monitor. Which is awesome, because I only had like 4 left and didn't want to buy more. So, awesome. But the BEST part was the anniversary card they sent us, where they doctored up the word "joy" to say "gay." Ha ha ha ha, they are simply the best ever. <3

I got a sweet message from [livejournal.com profile] 00solstice on Sunday evening while I was watching the Survivor premiere, and hopefully I will be able to call him back tonight. I didn't get to do anything I'd planned last night because I fell asleep at 9pm. On the couch. Which is ridiculous, because it means I'm turning into my mother.

I'm back to waking up 3-4 times a night/morning to crazy, intense dreams. I don't know if my luteal phase makes me wake up more which means I remember more dreams, or if the progesterone gives me more dreams which makes me wake up. Either way, I had a really long dream about a friend from elementary through high school that I have totally lost touch with: Scott Laprade. I put his whole name here in the event that he ever googles his name and finds me. So, hi Scott! I miss you!

That's all, folks. Time to go to work in the rain again.

00solsticeSteve and I walked the Freedom Trail last weekend. Here are some of my favorite photos. I've noticed that since I don't have time to crop or photoshop them at all, I find that I have a lot less good pictures. But oh well.

Photos Ahoy!! )

The others are all up on my flickr pages.

This weekend was constant motion, and I am exhausted from it. Don't get me wrong - Steve is a wonderful house guest and it has been so great getting to hang out with him and chat and stuff. We just haven't stopped moving since he arrived!

He came in late on Thursday night so we pretty much just went to bed after some catching up. On Friday morning, I went to work and Steve took Jen to get her foot x-rays. We all met up at the house when I got home from work and did a bunch of tooling around - first to lunch at the Hahp&Bahd and then to the mall so Jen could pick out replacement glasses and then dinner at La Paloma and then crashed and burned. Saturday morning, Jen left for work and Steve and I ran some errands and then walked the Freedom Trail, where not only did we do a lot of nice walking, but we also took a lot of pictures, called the police to get an ambulance for a man who fell on the sidewalk, saw some breakdancers, and ogled a very nerdy redheaded a cappella singer girl. We picked Jen up from work, went down to Jae's to eat a long dinner, came home and rotted in front of the television for a while. Today we got up and trucked down to King Richard's Faire for the day, came back, got some take-out chinese, and have filled the evening with laundry and grocery shopping.

Instead of being ready for my 14-hour Marathon Monday (a full - and early - day of work followed by a night of babysitting), I feel like I need a day to recover and just be zen all over the place. I have a killer headache that I thought was from dehydration, but I've been drinking plenty of water since we got back from KRF so I guess it's something else. Probably exhaustion.

Worthwhile exhaustion, but exhaustion nonetheless!

Oh wait, the dryer just buzzed. On to better things!

00solsticeSteve is here! That's super fun. He drove up here in a rusted out old Yugo that he bought on eBay from a dude in Connecticut.

Steve owns more cars than any other single dude I know. He is a crazy man.

It's fun having him in our house. I missed me some Steve. We've also only argued about political issues once, but only because silly Steve doesn't believe in global warming. ;)
